Grass fire burning near Elfrida

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

A grassfire is burning just outside Elfrida on Highway 181 at milepost 143, according to Cochise County Sheriff's Department PIO Carol Capas.

The fire is extremely remote and no structures are threatened.

Sunsites Fire, Elfrida Fire, Arizona State Land and Wilcox Rural Fire departments are all responding.

    A new wildfire is burning across 250 acres of grasslands north of Flagstaff. Coconino National Forest (CNF) officials say the Kendrick fire is spreading across an area 15 miles north of Flagstaff.
