COXEY, AL (WAFF) -

A lot of people and businesses were displaced after Monday's tornadoes, but that didn't stop one congregation from meeting even after their church was in shambles.

The Coxey Church of Christ was hit hard and couldn't hold services for a while because of the mess inside the church.

The Athens Church reached out to Preacher Daniel Ridinger of Coxey Church of Christ and let him know that his worshippers were allowed to use their facility at 1004 East Pryor St in Athens on Sunday at 2 p.m. after the Athens Church Congregation is through with their service.

Daniel Ridinger said that he hoped this will be the only service that will not be held at his church. He said by next Sunday their fellowship room, which did not get severely damaged in the storm, should be able to accommodate his congregation.  He said his auditorium will not be completely repaired for four to five months, but when it is, it will be better than ever.
