Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two of three jockeys thrown from their mounts during a race at Churchill Downs were taken to a hospital for treatment.

The collision happened between Swift Humor, Grand Slam Kid and Ranger Regiment on the backstretch during race 3, a six furlong race on the main track.

As of 3 p.m., Churchill Downs said Megan Fadlovich, the jockey of Grand Slam Kid, has been released from the hospital. The track said Fadlovich has a left knee fracture and has returned to the track to watch Derby 140.

At last report, Marcelino Pedroza, who was aboard Ranger Regiment, is in good condition and is expected to be released later in afternoon.

The third jockey involved, James Graham, who was on Swift Humor, was not hurt and went on to ride the winner in race 5.

Track officials say all three horses involved are ok.
