Posted: Updated:
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The trial for a former Madison police officer charged with sexual abuse was delayed again.

William Watson is accused of sexually abusing four young girls.

His trial was set to begin on Monday. It has been pushed back to July.

Madison police said Watson resigned from the department in Aug. 2012. He surrendered to the Limestone County Sheriff's Office the following January.

Since then, he's been out of jail on bond.
