LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Governor Robert Bentley will be in north Alabama Wednesday morning to survey damage from Monday's storms.

The governor will be in the Coxey community in Limestone County around 11 a.m. to visit a mobile home park hit hard by the severe storms.

Authorities said a mother and son were killed in the storm that hit Billy Barb Mobile Home Park. EMA officials confirmed that 17 people were transported with injuries to area hospitals after severe weather moved across Limestone County.

Bentley will meet with residents and tour the community safe room. He will also hold a news conference on the recovery process.

WAFF 48 News will be at the news conference and will have an update on air coming up on WAFF 48 News at Noon.
