Madison County:

  • Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Corner of Old Railroad Bed and Capshaw Road, Madison. Shelter will open when a watch or warning is issued for Madison or Limestone County.
  • Flint River Baptist Church, located at 12945 Highway 231/431 in Hazel Green, will open to the public as a tornado shelter. The church will open when a tornado watch is issued.
  • U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville will be open Monday and will remain a shelter in the event a warning is issued. Small pets will be allowed inside but will need to be caged or on leashes for the safety of others.
  • The gym of James Clemens High School will open as a shelter for a tornado event

  • Inside Out Ministries, 103 Gin Oaks Court
  • Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in New Market (pre/post emergency shelter)
  • New Hope United Methodist Church on Main Drive
  • Parker Chapel United Methodist Church on Powell Road in Madison (underground shelter holds 50 people)
  • Harvest Youth Club located at 230 Lockhart Road
  • New Hope - Main Drive, just across from Town Hall 2 shelters, located side by side (will hold around 300 people - no pets allowed, only service animals)
