Police: suspect wanted for cutting off monitoring device & drug charges

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is looking for 21-year-old Anthony Lamar Alexander on outstanding warrants for interfering with an electronic monitoring device and felony drug charges.

Police said Alexander was asked to wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition for his pre-trail release for charges of armed robbery and breaking and entering.

On Friday, Alexander cut off his device and was last seen at the 2600 block of Catalina Avenue.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Anthony Lamar Alexander should immediately contact the VCAT at 704-336-VCAT or call 911.
