Pine Belt Ford and Purvis High Drive 4 UR School event

PURVIS, MS (WDAM) -

Pine Belt Ford and Purvis High School partnered together Saturday in the Ford Motor Company's Drive 4 UR School event.

Residents spent the day test driving a selection of Ford vehicles from Pine Belt Ford at Purvis High School. The dealership and Ford Motor Company donated $20 to Purvis High School for each test drive. The money raised is used to fill financial gaps in the school system budget. Through the fundraiser, the community can help raise up to six thousand dollars for the school.

“This is super important because you know in these days it’s really hard for the public schools to get funding, so this is important for us to try to help give back and to help them get a little extra money so they can fund some different projects and things like that,” said Ford Sales Manager, Jared Waldrop.

To date, the Ford dealerships and local communities across the U.S. have helped raise more than $20 million for high schools through the Drive 4 UR School program.
