MADISON, AL (WAFF) -

Teachers and students at Bob Jones High School in Madison began to deal with some growing pains.

Classrooms started shifting around Thursday as crews began a multi-million-dollar renovation of the school. The work will be done in sections, and classes will move from one part of the building to another during the work. Principal Robby Parker said no instructions were disrupted, and the aggravation will be well worth it in the end.

"The first phase is a safety phase, and the safety phase begins in the front office, and that's the reason right now that our front office has been moved, but the safety phase will include an airlock, vapor lock area when you come into the front office," said Principal Parker.

The work is scheduled to continue through the summer of 2015.
