FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities arrested a man in connection with several thefts reported from sheds, storage buildings and fishing boats in the Spruce Pine community. Investigators said some of the items stolen were chain saws, tools and fishing tackle.

Richard Allen, 39, of Phil Campbell, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of third-degree burglary and theft.

Deputies said that some of the fishing gear was found at a pawn shop in Russellville and led to the arrest of Allen.

Authorities said the majority of items stolen have been recovered.

Allen is currently being held in the Franklin County Jail without bond. Investigators said Allen was out on parole for a previous crime.

Additional charges are pending.
