ETOWAH COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Two Etowah County brothers will be representing their state, hometown and family in the national spotlight.

Justin Kelley is on the Gadsden City High School Scholars' Bowl team, which won the state championship and is headed for a national tournament.

His younger brother Joshua Kelley won the State Spelling Bee in Birmingham and will represent Alabama in the National Spelling Bee.

In fact, both brothers and their younger siblings all competed over the years in spelling bees and Justin is a past Gadsden City Schools winner.

The two brothers chalk it up to a close-knit, smart family and all the encouragement they provide.

In late May, the whole family will first attend a National Scholars Bowl tournament in New Orleans, then days later go to the National Spelling Bee in Washington.
