HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Kraft Foods has issued a nationwide recall for approximately 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer brand Classic Wieners due to a labeling error.
The company said Sunday that the affected products are labeled as Classic Wieners but are in fact packed with Classic Cheese Dogs. Due to the labeling error, they do not reflect ingredients associated with the pasteurized cheese product in the dogs, including milk, which is a known food allergen.
Kraft has recalled individual packages and cases of 16 oz. 'Classic Wieners Made with Turkey & Chicken, Pork Added' with a use-by date of June 16 2014.

A consumer noticed the problem and contacted the company, who in turn notified the USDA about the recall. No reports of adverse reactions related to the mispackaged hot dogs have been made.
Anyone with a package of the hot dogs identified in the recall is asked to return the package to the place of purchase. Those with questions can call Kraft Consumer Relations at (855) 688-4386.
