Lester Holt talks to WSFA about upcoming Dateline

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Sunday the nation will observe the 15th anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings.

Twelve students and one teacher lost their lives that day when students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold opened fire inside their Colorado school.

NBC's Lester Holt joined WSFA 12 News anchor Mark Bullock live from New York on First at Four Friday to talk about his upcoming Dateline special, "The Road  Home."

Lester joins Columbine shooting survivor Sam Granillo on an emotional journey across the country as he meets five survivors of school shootings on the campuses where they each took place.

Granillo opened up to Holt in his first in-depth interview about the shooting and the aftermath years later.

You can watch "The Road Home" on WSFA Sunday at 7 p.m.
