HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

GBT Realty confirmed they contracted with a specialty grocer that would be new to the area to move to their Strong Station development. The developer said the specialty grocer will open in early 2015.

GBT officials would only say it's a specialty grocer Huntsville doesn't already have. They wouldn't specify if it would be a Trader Joe's or something else. Officials said they will announce who it is about six months before the store opens.

Work on phase two of the property started over the week according to GBT. They said the work will continue for the rest of the year.

GBT Realty's website had artist renderings of the development and the company confirmed phase two will include a Hobby Lobby. There's also 12,000 additional square feet for more shops. GBT did not say who will fill those additional shops.

Phase one of Strong Station included an Academy Sports. As for Trader Joe's, a company spokesperson said Huntsville is not in their two-year plan of opening a location.

Strong Station is one of several major developments under construction in and around Madison and Limestone Counties.
