HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

If she was a comic book villain, she would probably go by the name "The Chameleon." A woman allegedly performed the same crime, but looked different every time. Take a look at her many looks in this week's Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers.

A woman is caught very clearly on store surveillance video at the Kroger on University Drive in Huntsville stealing merchandise by using a fake check. According to Huntsville Police, this happened from Aug. 19 to Nov. 13 of 2013.

Police said the woman would buy merchandise with the fake check, then try to get a cash refund by returning the merchandise.

Each time she was turned away. But each time she made off with stolen merchandise. And each time she tried to cover her tracks by changing her appearance. The woman dressed differently, wore different hairstyles, sometimes wore glasses, and even a cap.

In all, she got away with over $1,600 worth of merchandise.

So our routine question is a little more complicated this week: Do you recognize her? In any of the pictures with any of the different looks? If you do, there's some cash coming your way. In fact, up to a thousand dollars in reward money is waiting for you.

You can phone in your anonymous tips to 256-53-Crime. Or to text or e-mail an anonymous tip, head to our Crime Stoppers page for details.
