JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Authorities took a chase suspect into custody on Wednesday morning.

Around 8 a.m., deputies in DeKalb County responded to a shots fired call. Deputies chased a suspect into Jackson County.

The man fled from his car and took off into the woods. It is unclear if he was armed or not.

Macedonia School was placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Deputies searched near a bridge on County Road 43 and around 11 a.m., they rushed from the area to a home on the same road.

They talked with a man at the home and then took him into custody. Investigators have not said who the man is or what charges he faces.
