AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

Auburn University authorities and Auburn police are aware of information being circulated about a threatening message posted in an Auburn University campus bathroom, according to an AU ALERT sent out Tuesday night.

According to the alert from the university, "no immediate threat has been substantiated," but police presence has been increased around the campus.

An image being circulated on social media Tuesday night showed writing on a wall that said: "To whom it may concern, April 16th 2014 I will unleash a rampage of Biblical proportion across this tiny campus... You have been warned!!"

Auburn Police Chief Paul Register said in an email that the police division is aware of the image being circulated.

"So far nothing to deem it credible, however, we have and will continue to have extra people on campus," Register said.

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to report suspicious activity to the Auburn Police Division at 334-501-3100.
