Decatur police: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

Decatur police arrested a man on Saturday for drug possession and traffic violations.

Police said that they stopped a vehicle at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Moulton Street in response to several equipment violations. Officer said they made contact with the driver, identified as Frankie Aldridge, and discovered he had a suspended driver's license. Police said they also found a quantity of spice in the vehicle.

Aldridge was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, an expired tag and driving while suspended. He was processed into Decatur City Jail and will be taken to Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,500 bond.
