HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A man in Huntsville said he woke up to his dogs barking and a burglary early Sunday morning.

Police said they responded to a burglary at a home on the 1400 block of Chandler Road around 1:15 a.m. The homeowner told police that after he heard his dogs barking and woke up, he heard a vehicle speeding off. The victim said he saw his vehicle's lights on in the garage and noticed his wallet and cell phone were missing from inside his home.

Officers said the victim believes the burglar or burglars entered his home and took his property. No one has been arrested yet.
