HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - A robbery suspect, who was shot in the stomach during one of his alleged crimes, was arrested by police after going to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators said Joseph Patrick Garrison, of Huntsville, was involved in a residential robbery and a residential burglary on April 4.
During the burglary, the homeowner shot Garrison in the chest. He was taken to Huntsville Hospital to be treated.
When Garrison was released from the hospital on April 9, he was arrested and charged with one count of first degree robbery for the incident on Chapman Avenue and one count of second degree burglary for the incident on Dairy Lane.
Garrison was booked into the Metro Jail on $80,000.
