HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Wednesday marked Opening Day at Joe Davis Stadium.

The Huntsville Stars kicked off their home schedule with a game against Pensacola. Crowds of people came out to support the Stars. This will be the team's last season in Huntsville before moving to Biloxi. Fans said it's bittersweet.

One attendee said, "I'm very sad it's the last one now for the Stars, but I'm hoping with enough crowd support coming that we can get another team here soon."

"We've been coming here for the last 8 years. It's going to be hard to see the Stars leave, but we're going to come out and support them and hopefully get to a few more games this year," said another.

The Stars won their opening game, 5-4.
