SELMA, AL (WSFA) -

A new movie that Oprah Winfrey is producing about the Civil Rights movement in Alabama is looking for people to audition for principal roles, according to the Project Casting website.

The movie titled "Selma" focuses on Martin Luther King, Jr. and the voting-rights marches he led in Alabama. David Oyelowo will play the lead role of Martin Luther King, Jr. Oyelowo appeared in "Lincoln" as well as in "The Butler" and "Red tails."

According to the Project Casting website, the film centers on the three marches from Selma to Montgomery in 1965. The first march was known as "Bloody Sunday" due to brutality the marchers faced.

Casting directors are specifically casting principal roles to include the following:

Bombing Victims: Black male and females aged 10-14 years old

Sheriff Jim Clark: Large white male, in his early 40s and clean shaven

Cager Lee: 83-year-old black male with white hair

The website only list the roles above, but may list more roles as they become available.
