AUBURN, AL (WSFA) -

The Auburn Police Department has made two arrests in an alleged fraudulent use of a credit card and theft of property case.

Auburn Police arrested 27-year-old Kyle Yarbrough from Five Points, and 24-year-old Jeremy Melton from Clanton on Felony warrants. Yarbrough was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and was apprehended on Friday. Melton was arrested on Saturday for fraudulent use of a credit card and had an additional charge of second degree theft of property.

The arrests of the two men are the result of an ongoing investigation by the Auburn Police Department into a report that was filed on March 4, of a theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. Police say the victim reported that an unknown individual stole her credit card on March 1, while she was at an establishment in the 100 block of W. Magnolia Avenue in Auburn. The victim then stated that the card was used to make purchases of over $200 at two different locations in Auburn.

After the Auburn Police Department initiated an investigation into the matter, Yarbrough and Melton were developed as suspects. Detectives obtained felony arrest warrants on each of them for fraudulent use of a credit card, and the additional warrant on Melton for theft of property.

Yarbrough and Melton were transported to the Lee County Jail. Yarbrough is being held on a posted bond of $3,000, and Melton is being held on a bond set at $6,000.
