Former DHR worker pleads guilty to sex charges

COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Chadmon Wright, a former DHR worker, has pleaded guilty to sex charges in Colbert County on Monday morning.

Wright pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of obscene material of person under 18, one count of sexual abuse of a child under 12, two counts of sexual abuse first degree and one count of sodomy first degree.

He was sentenced to 20 years for each count to be served concurrently. Wright will not be eligible for early release. He will get credit for time served.

When Wright is released, he will have to register as a sex offender.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
