Madison Co. Veterans Service Office temporarily closed

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The Madison County Veterans Service Office in Huntsville is temporarily closed because of a water leak. 

Officials said there is a safety concern for employees and clients at the Court House Annex, 115-B Washington Street, where the office is based.

While the office is closed, veterans may access services from the following County Veterans Service Offices:

    Our news gathering partner at the Decatur Times Daily reports the city of Sheffield in Colbert County is dealing with a staffing shortage in their fire department.  Fire Chief Dewey King, who is also the city's public safety director, says that low wages are contributing to a high turnover rate.
