The Auburn Montgomery baseball team knocked in ten runs in the eighth inning to beat Point University by a score of 14-7 on Tuesday.
AUM collected 22 hits in the contest, including nine in the eighth inning. The Warhawks had 16 batters come to the plate in the eighth inning, highlighted by a bases-clearing triple by Hayden Hillyer. Bryan Young, Tanner Ivey, Brandon Pooler, Trevor Sprowl, Michael Radoslovich and Blake Bearden also had RBI in the offensive driven inning.
Ivey and Radoslovich led the Warhawks with four hits each, and Hillyer led the team with three RBI. Wilson and Bearden both extended their hitting streak to 12 games.
Jacob Gibson pitched five innings, allowing three hits and one earned run. Gibson also struck out four on his way to picking up the victory.
The Warhawks move to 22-15 on the season, and will play Spring Hill on Friday starting at 6 p.m.
