HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Congressman Mo Brooks said he believes the American people will eventually push to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

In Huntsville Monday morning, Representative Brooks said so far, the president's health care law has been very disappointing. Brooks said that 6 million sign-ups is not going to cut it when you look at the big picture. There are 317 million people in the US.

"From a longer-term perspective, I think the American people are ultimately going to demand that Obamacare be repealed because of the escalating cost associated with it, and the declining quality of care that we're all going to enjoy, as our health care system is no longer able to function in the way we're accustomed to because of the restraints imposed by this system," he said.

Rep. Brooks said a repeal would take just one election cycle, and pointed out that the upcoming presidential election in 2016 would be an ideal opportunity to do just that if Americans are still displeased by the health care system.
