OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

Officials with the Ocean Springs Police Department have confirmed the woman involved in a shooting Sunday morning on Hunter Drive died shortly before 2 p.m.

Detective Captain William Jackson said 42-year-old Patrick Norman, of Hoover, AL, shot 36-year-old Amanda R. Salas and Christopher Dale Prevost, both of Ocean Springs.

Officials tell us Prevost and Salas were inside a car parked in a car port outside of their home when Norman reportedly shot the two before taking his own life.

Jackson said Norman and Salas had been in a dating relationship in the past but were currently separated. He said Salas was currently dating Prevost.

Authorities said Norman shot Salas once in the head and Prevost in the shoulder with a 9mm handgun. Several relatives were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Both victims were rushed to the Ocean Springs Hospital where Salas later died. Jackson said Prevost is expected to make a full recovery.
