We're looking into not one, but two devastating fires, one that left a woman in critical condition with severe burns, the other which killed two little children.
Across the state, the number of people killed in fires so far this year is up starkly. We're trying to get a handle on those numbers and see if the experts can explain them and discuss how to avoid and prevent them.
Police say they have one gunman behind a shooting in Florence. They arrested Travis Eric Fallows today. According to the cops, Fallows was in an argument and fired a shot into a house injuring a woman inside. Fallows is charged with attempted murder. The search is still on for a second suspect in the shooting incident. Matthew Terhune is still on the loose
Alabama is saying goodbye to a giant, a war hero, and a U.S. Senator. Jeremiah Died today. After horrific abuse as a prisoner of war in Vietnam, punctuated by brilliant defiance, he came home and was elected to the U.S. senate and continued his service to Alabama and the United States. He was 89.
