TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A local disc jockey said he was practicing upstairs in his house Wednesday night when he thought he heard a knock at the door. It turned out to be something much worse.

Charles Lee has lived in his home on Bronson in North Toledo for 14 years. After hearing the unfamiliar noise, he may consider moving out.

"I was D.J.ing, just catching up on some stuff, and I heard a knock like someone was banging at my door, and the next thing I know I open my door and its two bullet holes through it," said Lee.

Outside, Lee also found broken glass, and three shots fired into his friend's car.

"It's kind of crazy because my son lives here… I don't have any bad blood with anybody but you know it's kind of stupid. I'm a person that tries to help everybody," said Lee.

Lee's 1-year-old son was not at the home during the time of the shooting. Everyone that was inside the house was upstairs.

"I'm glad nobody who was at my place was hurt. I'm glad nothing happened but something that can be replaced. It was just stupid for why it happened because I just really don't know," said Lee.

Lee said this is the second time since 2009 an incident like this has happened. He said he is only left with one option.

"I got to do what I got to do here but eventually I have to move. I can't raise my son out here," said Lee.

The shooting is still under investigation.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
