ENOREE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion from battling a blaze that destroyed a home in the Enoree area on Thursday.

Fire Chief Brent Peeler of Glen Springs/Pauline Fire Department said no cause had been determined for the fire that leveled the home on Baggett Road, off Blackstock Road.

Peeler said he believes explosions heard within the home might have been due to ammunition that was inside.

Firefighters from Roebuck, Glen Springs, Hobbeville, Poplar Springs, Cross and Woodruff assisted in fighting the fire.

Peeler said the hospitalized firefighter will be okay.
