Forest Acres police look to ID man involved in home invasion, robbery

FOREST ACRES, SC (WIS) -

Forest Acres police are trying to identify a man involved in a home invasion and robbery Thursday morning.

Police say the man entered a home in the Brickyard Condominiums at 4443 Bethel Church Road around 7 a.m. and assaulted a woman and tied up a girl in their home.

The man was armed with a handgun and took several items before fleeing the scene, police said.

Forest Acres Police Chief Gene Sealy said the woman and girl were taken to the hospital for evaluation and released. No other injuries were reported.

Police describe the man as Hispanic, between 5'9" and 5'11" tall, and between 30 to 35 years old. The suspect is described as having a scraggly beard and wire-rimmed glasses.

The victims told police the suspect was wearing a garnet zip hoodie with South Carolina on it and a beanie. The suspect also has a prominent tattoo on his neck with unknown writing.
