HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville City School Board President David Blair responded to the latest actions by County Commission Bob Harrison.

According to the Huntsville Times, Harrison emailed a district judge expressing his concerns about the Huntsville City School's rezoning plan, which combined Butler and Johnson High Schools. In that letter, he stated the board had been less than open during the process.

Blair released documents that showed Harrison demanded the closing of Johnson in return for voting yes on the half cent sales tax Wednesday night.

Blair said the document was written in 2006 to former Superintendent Dr. Ann Roy Moore. Harrison apparently wanted to close Johnson and move students to Butler and Lee.

Blair, Richard Showers, Harrison, and Wardynski are set to meet on April 1.
