HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A woman appeared to be doing some simple Sunday shopping at the Target on Carl T. Jones Drive September 15, but appearances can be deceiving, not to mention very costly. She was using a stolen credit card.

It started at the Dillard's at Parkway Place Mall. A woman dropped her credit card, and returned to find it gone. Her credit card company called to alert her to a large charge. Turned out, the thief brought the credit card to Target used it for almost $5-thousand worth of merchandise.

According to police, the woman took the card to the Target and bought six $800 gift cards. That's a charge of $4,800.

The credit card crook was wearing jeans, a jacket, a baseball cap, and probably a big smile right about now. That is, until you turn her in.
