Agents find 'shake & bake' meth lab

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Two people were arrested after agents found a one-pot "shake and bake" meth lab in Lawrence County.

Deputies responded to a home on the 12000 block of County Road 400 in Hillsboro after receiving complaints about possible drug activity. Agents located a one-pot meth lab in the early stages of the meth making process and other components used to make meth.

Dusty Ray Forbes, 47, and Crystal Nichole Smith, 33, both of Hillsboro, were arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance.

Forbes and Smith were booked into the Lawrence County Jail on $10,000 bond. They have both since been released on bond.
