DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Two people were arrested Friday after Decatur Police Department's Special Operations unit executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Cedar Lake Road.

According to officials, Mario and Rosie Gibson were located and detained inside their bedroom at the residence while officers searched the premises.

Officers reportedly located a loaded handgun, drug paraphernalia, and a large quantity of marijuana that was in excess of 38 pounds. The street value was approximately $46-thousand. Officers reportedly also located and seized approximately $10-thousand in cash.

Both were arrested and charged with trafficking in cannabis, and Mario was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were both transported to Decatur City Jail, and will later be transferred to Morgan County Jail.

Mario Gibson's bond was set to $25,500, in which $25-thousand must be satisfied in cash only. Rosie Gibson's bond was set at $2,500.
