HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - We've seen quite a few roads that could use a patch here or a patch there. But we found one that obviously needed a lot of help. It's Hunters Ridge Drive in Huntsville. If you drive off Golf Road and to the top of the hill, you'll find plenty of potholes, broken pavement and uneven asphalt.
There's a rather long stretch of that. A Huntsville Public Works crew had a lot of work to do. They patched a long stretch of this straightaway and into the curve. It is now much smoother.
Now, to Old Monrovia Road. We checked it out in December after someone posted on See, Click, Fix that there were a lot of cracks and potholes just north of University Drive. The concern was that the county portion of the road farther north had been paved but not the city part closer to University Drive.
A Public Works crew did some patching but, again, resurfacing is what many of you have requested. Huntsville's resurfacing supervisor is now evaluating where Old Monrovia Road is on the priority list. There are many roads in the same shape. We'll keep following up to let you know what they decide.
