Authorities arrested two men on drug charges after a theft investigation led to a meth bust in Marshall County.

Deputies recovered stolen tools on Wren Drive in Albertville, Monday morning. Investigators said the items were from a Boaz burglary. During the recovery, deputies found meth and arrested Desi Lopez, of Albertville.

The arrest of Lopez led investigators to the Microtel Inn where more property was recovered from the Boaz burglary, including a stolen truck. Bradley Whitehead, 29, of Albertville, was arrested and also found to be in the possession of meth.

During the investigation more stolen property was recovered and a new theft victim was identified. Authorities said the stolen items were valued at more than $15,000.

Both Lopez and Whitehead were booked into the Marshall County Jail facing felony drug charges. Deputies said more charges in relation to the thefts are expected to be filed.
