Guntersville police arrest attempted robbery suspect

GUNTERSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Guntersville robbery suspect is in jail awaiting bond after allegedly pulling a knife on a store clerk Monday.

It happened at 11:30 a.m. at the Dollar Tree off Highway 431 in Big Springs Village. Police said Nathan Dewayne Bean pulled a knife on a cashier while purchasing an item at the counter.

Bean allegedly fled after the cashier yelled for someone to call 911. Police soon located and arrested Bean a half-mile away on Highway 205.

Bean is charged with attempted robbery and is in the Guntersville City Jail.
