Littleville, AL (WAFF) -

The cause of a large fire that burned acres of land in Colbert and Franklin Counties is still under investigation.

It started Friday around 11:30 a.m., though officials are not sure where it started; crews got the fire under control on Saturday. The State Forestry Commission reported that 520 acres burned. The commission said that this fire was the largest among the 38 reported that day.

The commission sent an investigator to the scene that weekend. There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
