The Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office says they have arrested two men after they detected a meth lab during a house fire.

Deputies responded Friday evening to the Peterson Water Department when they received a report of water being stolen at a residence in the 11000 block of Recreation Area Road. Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue was at the scene of the residence when they arrived due to a house fire.

Brown faces an additional charge of 2nd degree criminal tampering and 3rd degree criminal trespass. Jones faces a charge for 2nd degree possession of marijuana. Charges related to the possession of GHB are pending the outcome of testing by the crime lab.
