WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A low pressure system will continue to bring lower-than-average temperatures and higher-than-average rain chances through Tuesday, but a high pressure system will build for a warming and drying trend from Wednesday into Thursday. Spring officially arrives Thursday at 12:57pm.
MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY: Keep the umbrella and jacket handy! Clouds will deliver 90% rain and drizzle chances Monday night and 60% rain chances for much of Tuesday. Most rain will soak in but isolated poor-drainage flooding may occur. Temperatures: 30s and 40s Monday night, 40s and 50s Tuesday. Winds: north near 15mph with gusts over 30 possible.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY: Clouds may linger for a portion of this period (especially Wednesday and part of Thursday). In general though, expect a nice trend of lower rain chances (near 30% Wednesday, near 10% Thursday, and near 0% Friday) and higher temperatures (50s to low 60s Wednesday and 60s to low 70s Thursday and Friday).
