Strep dominates cases seen at pediatric lab

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Lab test results are in at Huntsville Pediatric Associates, and a common illness continues to make its way around area children.

For March 3-9, 240 children were tested for four common illnesses: RSV, flu, walking pneumonia and strep throat.

Strep throat leads the charts for the seventh week running, with 65 out of 180 tests returned positive for the illness.

Less than ten positive cases were reported each in influenza, RSV and walking pneumonia tests.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
