NORTH ALABAMA (WAFF) -

Several of economic development issues top the agenda Monday in North Alabama.

The Decatur City Council will hold a public hearing and vote on a project development and funding agreement involving Bass Pro Shops/Outdoor World. That council meeting begins at 10 a.m. Monday. For a full look at the agenda, click here.

A $25 million retail development is on the table for Albertville, and the city council hopes residents will approve the measure at a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Council members said more than 90,000 square feet of retail space and well-known names are poised to come to town. However, the deal is the city must pay the $5 million price tag for the land. Read the public hearing notice here (PDF).

The Limestone County Commission will also hold a public hearing over its half-million-dollar contribution to the Remington Arms project that will bring hundreds of jobs to Madison County. The commission will also vote on the incentive package and Monday's meeting, which begins at 10 a.m. at the Clinton Street Annex. For more information, click here.

Lauderdale County will be one of the first stops for Secretary of State Jim Bennett and his staff as they begin mobile site visits for the production of photo voter ID cards. They will be at the Waterloo Community Center from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday. Click here for more information on the voter ID program.
