USA Police: Student from Dothan found unresponsive pronounced dead

According to the University of South Alabama a death investigation is being held after a student was found unresponsive in his dorm room.

University Police say around 7 a.m. they responded to a medical emergency call from the residence hall of Gamma 5 on the USA campus. Upon arrival life saving procedures were begun on student Christopher Elan Thomas of Dothan.

Mobile Fire-Rescue then arrived on the scene to assist, and attempted to resuscitate Thomas, but all attempts were unsuccessful.

The cause of death will be determined by the Mobile County Coroner's Office. No foul play is suspected at this time.

    The Guntersville Police Department have released news details on a double shooting late Friday afternoon that left one man dead.

    The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., when police from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a 911 call reporting two people had been shot on Edmonds Road.
