Huntsville/Madison Co. Visitor Center celebrates 10 years

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

All are invited to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Huntsville/Madison County's Visitor Center on Saturday.

A birthday bash will be held at the Visitor Center on Church Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This free event is open to the public.

The party will feature great giveaways, face painting from Gabrielle's Face Painting, photo opportunities with TOPPS the astronaut and Homer from Huntsville Stars and a chalking area for kids (with prizes!).

Food will be available from two food trucks, Badd Newz BBQ and Crave Heat. There will also be birthday cupcakes and popcorn.

At 2 p.m., the Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and Madison Mayor Troy Trulock will unveil a new interactive photo addition to the center.

    A school bus accident occurred Friday morning in Decatur.  The accident occurred at 11th St. SW and W. Moulton St. around 9:30 a.m.  Bus No. 27 reportedly collided with a pickup truck, resulting in serious damage to the side of the vehicle.  The bus sustained only minor damage.
