Worker injured after falling 12-feet at Churchill Downs

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A worker was rushed to the hospitalafter falling 12-feet at Churchill Downs on Friday.

According to a Churchill Downs spokesperson the person was injured while working on the track'snew 15,224-square-foot, high-definition LED video board around 11 a.m.

The worker was employed by acontractor and was reportedly conscious when taken an area hospital by paramedics.

The extent of their injuries and theiridentity have not been released.

The big board scheduled to becompleted by April 26.
