ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities appear to be building a caseagainst those involved in a wreck in Downtown Albertville that followed ahigh-speed chase.

For several hours Thursday morning, trafficwas being rerouted from the original scene that happened in downtownAlbertville Feb. 27. Homicide investigators were conducting an accidentreconstruction at the scene.

A Mitsubishi Eclipse fled police at a highrate of speed before striking approximately a half-dozen vehicles, injuringsix people, two of whom were flown out for treatment.

Traffic homicide investigators said that bytaking measurements at various angles, they are able to make a scaled-down reconstructionof the accident that can be used for court purposes.

That model can take days or weeks tocomplete. There is currently no word on when or if charges could be filed.
