Firefighters responded to the scene of a mobile home and house fire in Hazel Green, Thursday morning.
The fire started around 7 a.m. at a home in the area of Hunt Drive and Dundee Road.
Officials with Toney Fire and Rescue said that the mobile home was a total loss and that the house received minor smoke and water damage.
According to authorities, no one lived in the homes at the time of the fires. Authorities confirmed that a SWAT team was called out to the residence six weeks ago serving a drug warrant. They said the incident was unrelated to the fire.
"There's been a few crazy people over here lately," said neighbor Anne Beasley. "I'm not sure what went on, but it's just been a nightmare over here for the last week or so."
Officials said the fire appears to be suspicious and is under investigation.
