COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Colbert County School Board will discuss the investigation that landed the principal of Colbert Heights Elementary on paid leave.

Parents hope to get answers Thursday about out why Principal Bobby Montgomery is no longer at the school.

In February, the school board placed Montgomery on paid leave pending an internal investigation. A school resource officer escorted him off the campus during school hours.

Since then, school officials haven't discussed the allegations made against Montgomery but did say that no safety issues were involved.

School officials picked retired principal Leroy Willis to serve as acting principal.
